These few couple of weeks I have been focusing on food and significant stories that come with it.
In this picture my partners and I were interviewing a women from Brazil named Aline. I learned a lot about Aline. I learned that she actually came from a wealthy family, her parents did not actually like to cook, she had a maid, her aunt cooks for a living, Aline is also into art, and Aline is part of a cooking Facebook page that is actually well known. Aline taught my partners and I how to make cheese bread. Our interviewee decided to show us how to make cheese bread out of all the dishes she knew how to prepare because it was not only the easiest dish it was a dish that had a meaning to her. This dish was her favorite since she was a child and it was also the first dish she started her business with. After making the dish I realized that I have ate it before and it is actually a well known recipe. Some challenges I faced in the process of this was probably sticking with my partners. The reason as to why it was difficult to stick with my partners was because I did not know them that well, I felt left out more than half of the time, and when I would try to connect with them It wasn’t really working, and my partners and I are opposites. I soon came to just not really talking to them and try to do my part. My relationship with my partners was not as wished but it we finished our work. Another challenge I was facing during this project was despite me putting in my part I struggled with putting in my part. I was such a procrastinator. In the future I strive for better new ways to control my procrastination.
